Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, steering components, and powertrain assemblies.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs involving welding, auto body work, or component replacements.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other electronic safety features to ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to execute repairs precisely according to manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring timely completion of all work orders.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair alongside gasoline engine systems to handle diverse vehicle types.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems including wiring harnesses, sensors, and electronic control modules.
- Skilled in using automotive estimating software for accurate diagnosis and repair planning.
- Experience performing brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work (shocks & struts), tire service, and auto body repairs is preferred.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as welding tools and power tools safely while adhering to safety standards.
