Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and manage cash drawer with integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage food handling responsibilities responsibly by adhering to proper food safety protocols and food industry regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring the café operates smoothly during shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is highly preferred.
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
