Position Summary:
The Business Support Assistant – Facilities Team Member is a full time position that supports the Director of IT and Facilities in the daily operations of a diverse property portfolio. This role involves regular interaction with employees, residents, and vendors, requiring strong human relations and computer skills. Flexibility and adaptability are essential. Demonstrated skills and background in Conflict De-Escalation and Resolution is essential to navigating relationships and conversations with prospective and current tenants.

Essential Job Functions
- Enter data related to rent payments, work orders, and generate related reports.
- Interact professionally with employees, vendors, residents, on a daily basis.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to housing operations.
- Supports the Property Manager in maintaining all facilities—including buildings, grounds, public spaces, roads, parking areas, and laundry rooms—in alignment with organizational policies and maintenance standards.
- Support the mission, vision, and goals of Listening Ear.

Qualifications:Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Accurate and efficient data entry capabilities
- Clear, professional, and effective communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build respectful and collaborative relationships with both tenants and team members.
- Ability to set appropriate boundaries, maintain professional roles, and intervene effectively to support clients.
- Demonstrated Conflict De-Escalation and Resolution skills
Education and Experience
Required: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Prior work experience in a business office or customer service.

- This position has some local travel expectations.
- This position primarily works in an office setting.
Physical Requirements
- May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Extended periods of sitting in front of a computer screen and answering telephone calls.
- Must pass a basic physical and TB test
