About the Role

As the Clinical Director, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Crisis Center's Clinical Department, ensuring exceptional counseling and behavioral health services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, and other crises. You will supervise licensed clinicians and interns, provide clinical consultation, oversee quality assurance and compliance, and collaborate with agency leadership to continuously strengthen and expand clinical programming.

This is both a leadership and hands-on clinical position. While your primary focus will be developing staff, ensuring clinical excellence, and guiding program growth, you will also maintain a limited client caseload and provide direct clinical support when needed.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, supervise, and develop a high-performing team of licensed clinicians, interns, and clinical staff while fostering a collaborative, trauma-informed culture.

• Provide clinical supervision, consultation, case reviews, and multidisciplinary staffing to ensure ethical, evidence-based, client-centered care.

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and expand clinical programming that meets the evolving needs of survivors and the community.

• Monitor program outcomes, productivity, documentation, compliance, and quality assurance while ensuring contractual, licensing, and funding requirements are met.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, program development, continuous quality improvement, and organizational growth.

• Maintain a limited client caseload and provide crisis intervention, counseling, de-escalation, and clinical consultation as needed.

• Build collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, behavioral health organizations, schools, child welfare agencies, victim service organizations, and other community partners to strengthen coordinated care.

• Coordinate orientation, onboarding, ongoing clinical training, and professional development for clinicians and interns.

• Ensure accurate documentation, ethical practice, confidentiality, and compliance with Texas licensing requirements, HIPAA, grant expectations, and agency policies.

• You are organized, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation in clinical services.

Additional Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another closely related behavioral health field.

• Current, unrestricted Texas licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.

• Three to five years of progressively responsible clinical leadership and supervisory experience.

• Experience supervising licensed clinicians, provisionally licensed clinicians, or graduate-level interns preferred.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, behavioral health assessment, evidence-based treatment, and ethical clinical practice.

• Experience with program development, quality improvement, grant compliance, and performance measurement.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, electronic documentation, and client management systems.

• Current, valid Texas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.

• Ability to pass an extensive background check, including fingerprinting, drug screen, and driver's record check.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and limited on-call responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical Supervisor designation (or eligibility) through the applicable Texas licensing board.

• Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner training.

• Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, or other trauma-affected populations.

• Experience leading grant-funded behavioral health programs and multidisciplinary teams.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
