Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Healthcare Administrator to lead the operational and administrative functions of a busy healthcare facility. Duties
- Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee medical administrative support functions such as medical records management, billing, coding, and documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft.
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff by providing leadership in human resources activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), and managed care standards.
- Oversee fiscal management tasks including budgeting, financial management, billing procedures, and cost control initiatives to optimize practice profitability.
- Coordinate with medical providers on practice management issues related to medical management, utilization management, and acute care protocols.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of medical records and documentation related to medical terminology, hospital experience, dental clinic experience, and other clinical data.
- Monitor office management activities to improve operational efficiency while ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within clinics or hospitals.
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing teams in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with experience handling medical records securely and confidentially.
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial oversight, billing processes, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology across various specialties such as nursing, acute care, dental practice management or veterinary experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
