Crimson Education is expanding its physician‑led Medical Admissions Division, and we are seeking a high‑impact MCAT Tutor who can deliver exceptional instruction and help us build our MCAT prep ecosystem from the ground up. What are the main responsibilities for this role?
- 1:1 MCAT Tutoring: Deliver high‑quality, personalized instruction across all MCAT sections, adapting teaching methods to each student’s learning style, pace, and score goals.
- Student Assessment: Conduct initial diagnostic reviews, identify content gaps, and create individualized study plans that drive measurable score improvement.
- Ongoing Coaching: Provide continuous guidance on test‑taking strategy, pacing, study habits, and weekly accountability to keep students on track.
- Session Planning: Build structured lesson plans for each student, including targeted milestones, content review, and strategy reinforcement.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance, adjust plans based on data, and communicate progress clearly to students and families.
- Resource Development: Create foundational MCAT materials such as practice questions, section‑specific drills, CARS reasoning walkthroughs, and concise content summaries to support tutoring sessions.
- Curriculum Input: Collaborate with Crimson’s Medical Admissions team to shape the emerging MCAT prep framework, ensuring materials align with AAMC standards and student needs.
- Quality Assurance: Review and refine MCAT resources for accuracy, clarity, and instructional effectiveness.
- 520 MCAT score
- Minimum 2 years of MCAT tutoring experience, ideally in a 1:1 or small‑group setting.
- Strong teaching ability with proven student score gains.
- Deep familiarity with AAMC frameworks and MCAT cognitive skills.
- Ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging educational content.
- Strong communication skills and a student‑centered mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to keep students engaged, accountable, and on task during 1:1 sessions, including managing pacing, motivation, and weekly follow‑through.
