Position Overview
Our organization is a global, family-owned company with a four-decade track record of excellence in the ag-chem industry, and we are seeking an experienced Distribution Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse and fulfillment activities within a high-volume distribution environment. This individual will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, workforce performance, inventory accuracy, customer service execution, and safety compliance while ensuring the facility consistently meets business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced operation, leverages data to drive decisions, and has a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of approximately 4-6 supervisors and/or team leads.
- Lead daily warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and fulfillment activities.
- Establish staffing plans and labor strategies to support productivity targets and customer commitments.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, quality, and service levels.
- Partner with leadership to identify process improvements that reduce costs, eliminate waste, and enhance throughput.
- Manage departmental spending and ensure operations remain aligned with approved financial objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the operation.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and frontline leadership to strengthen organizational capability.
- Optimize utilization of personnel, equipment, and facility resources.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Analyze operational data and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with transportation, inventory, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred.
Experience
- 5 years of leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Proven success managing teams in a distribution center or high-volume warehouse environment.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and transportation or logistics software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Effective communicator with strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and drive results in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to influence teams through collaboration, accountability, and professional leadership.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary will be based on experience but will be in the $90k to $110k range.
