Required Qualifications/Competencies:
- High school diploma and 2 years’ experience in an office environment required. Associate’s degree in business administration, office management or communications preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills (both written and oral)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel
- Organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize and complete multiple, ongoing projects
- Experience with Canva and social media design
- Trustworthy, self-motivated, able to manage time and work independently
- Able to verbally diffuse tense situations
- Able to handle emotionally charged situations
- Able to sit for extended periods
- Possess auditory acuity to listen to people over the telephone and in-person
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must possess current Child Abuse, Pennsylvania State Police and FBI Background Clearances
Ideal Competencies:
- 5 years of experience in an office environment
- Proficiency with Cisco WebEx phone services
- Background in victim services and/or sexual violence prevention
Job duties:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for visitors and phone calls, providing a warm and professional first impression.
- Answers agency phone and transfers calls accordingly
- Greets clients and visitors and connects them with agency staff
- Logs and distributes in-coming mail
- Performs general clerical duties
- Maintains a neat and orderly reception area
- Participates in in-services, trainings, and conferences
- Participates in on-call rotation to staff agency hotline
