Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and groundskeeping, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the beauty and safety of our grounds throughout the year.
Duties

- Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Maintain flower beds, gardens, and hardscapes by planting, weeding, and mulching as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various groundskeeping tasks.
- Conduct tree care activities such as pruning and removal when necessary.
- Assist in snow plowing and removal during winter months to ensure safe access to facilities.
- Build and maintain outdoor structures such as fences, decks, or other hardscape features.
- Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, reporting any issues to management for resolution.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
Requirements
- Applicants must be able to pass federal background checks and drug screening
- Mowing applicants must be highly experienced in commercial mowing with a zero turn and able to mow on lawns, steep ground, rough areas, fence lines, and roadsides
- Experience with operating either a tractor or snow plowing in a truck is a big plus as well.
- Labor/Weedeating applicants must be able to trim for full days on varying terrain and have experience with string trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and be able to shovel snow from sidewalks
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping work.
- Knowledge of plant care, including tree care practices and garden maintenance techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles or equipment.
- Prior experience snow plowing with a truck is a bonus but not required.
- Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm but occasionally Friday and Saturday work are required to catch up.
