Job Summary:
The Bowling Coach is responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading all aspects of the bowling program. This includes training student-athletes or team members to improve their skills, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, organizing practices and competitions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the sport, dedicated to player development, and able to motivate individuals to reach their full potential both on and off the lanes.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and conduct effective practice sessions that focus on skill development, strategy, and conditioning.
Teach fundamental and advanced bowling techniques, including approach, release, targeting, and lane adjustments.
Develop and implement game strategies and analyze performance to improve results.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and respect.
Oversee team logistics, including scheduling practices, matches, and travel arrangements.
Monitor academic performance and personal development of student-athletes (if applicable).
Ensure adherence to all league, school, and association policies.
Maintain bowling equipment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Recruit and retain athletes or participants to build a competitive program.
Represent the program positively within the school/community.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching or competitive bowling experience required.
Strong understanding of bowling rules, scoring systems, and techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and mentor athletes of varying skill levels.
