Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and early intervention strategies to support childhood development.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
• Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Plan and execute lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education or additional support.
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents and caregivers to discuss children's progress, behavior management strategies, and welfare needs.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes.
• Support toddlers and preschool-aged children with specialized care routines, including daycare practices and Montessori-based activities.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management for preschool or daycare settings.
• Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special education needs or requiring early intervention services.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
• Proficiency in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
• Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori methods.

Experience

Requirements

• Must have or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Must have or be able to obtain high School Dipolma/GED
• Pass a background check through Department of Child Safety (DCS) Central Registry
