Training Strategy & Management
- Positioned as a strategic enabler leading a team of five trainers to design, develop, and delivery training focused on compliance, new hire orientation, manager training, driver of quality care, employee engagement, and long-term retention.
- Lead the provision of both clinical and non-clinical training to employees.
- Partner with Program Managers and leadership to proactively identify needs and create a comprehensive training and development strategy and execution.
- Provide leadership, manager, and staff-level development programs that build capability and engagement across the organization.
- Ensure training is accessible to a 24/7, 365-day workforce, including evenings and weekends.
- Develop and track metrics & ROI to include evaluation of training effectiveness (e.g., reduced non compliances, retention impact, reduced incidents that can be categorized because of lack of training.
- Develop Succession Planning & Career Pathing by ensuring that training aligns with career growth and future leadership pipelines.
- Design, customize, and continuously update training programs for adult learners, leveraging the latest instructional design methodologies.
- Develop training content in areas such as: leadership, new manager readiness, cultural awareness, clinical practices, and compliance.
- Incorporate new technologies, e-learning platforms, and blended learning techniques to maximize engagement and knowledge retention.
- Regularly evaluate course effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback, outcomes, and business needs.
- Develop and implement an impactful Adjunct Trainer Program.
- Personally facilitate training sessions and serve as backup trainer for critical courses (e.g., Human Rights, HIPAA, Harassment Prevention, Cultural Awareness, CPR, First Aid).
- Coach trainers, subject matter experts, and managers to deliver effective, engaging sessions.
- Be visible and engaged in programs, modeling a boots-on-the-ground, collaborative approach.
- Deliver training using the most effective formats and methods (classroom, on-site, virtual, or hybrid)
- Support new managers with onboarding, training, and coaching to strengthen leadership pipelines.
- Develop leadership and engagement programs to build organizational capacity.
- Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in partnering with Program Managers to align training with operational needs and provide responsive solutions.
- Oversee Medication Aide certification process, including required classroom training and observation.
- Represent CR at external training coalitions and industry events.
- Develop and manage training budgets, engaging consultants/vendors as appropriate.
- Explore opportunities to expand training offerings externally as a revenue stream.
- Maintain relevant certifications and continuing education.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferrable a degree in Training & Development, Adult Learning, Instructional/Educational Technology, Education, Communications, HR, or related field
- 5 years of experience in adult learning/training and management of staff.
- Demonstrated experience in content development, leadership training, and new manager development.
- Ability to design and deliver training using current and emerging technologies.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Clinical knowledge/background (counseling, psychology, or related) strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to build partnerships.
- Clinical knowledge, ideally with a counseling or psychology background
- Advanced certifications in training, instructional design, or adult learning.
- Experience in Human Services, particularly in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health diagnoses.
- Expertise in curriculum design, adult learning methodology, and assessments.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect recruitment outcomes to business goals.
- Data-driven and results-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
- Proficient in applicant tracking systems and digital sourcing tools.
