Job Description

The Sanitation Manager at Lorenzo Foods Group with Aramark Facility Services will report directly to the District Manager.

The Sanitation Manager directs, coordinates and controls the sanitation function within all bakery and facility operations.  Implements sanitation policies, programs and procedures toward the objective of producing bakery products free of extraneous material and bacterial or other contamination and complying with all regulatory and industry standards.

This individual also has a responsibility to ensure and maintain a food safe environment through compliance to all requirements of programs/policies for Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Quality, Workplace Safety, IPM, OSHA, Environmental, and as may be required by Plant, Company, Local, State and Federal mandates or programs.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $70,000.00 to $85,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily sanitation operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, BRC) and maintaining audit readiness
• Train, supervise, and develop sanitation staff while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
• Align sanitation schedules with production, monitor equipment effectiveness, and manage chemical usage and inventory.
• Enforce safety protocols, ensure proper PPE use, and address incidents with corrective actions.
• Partner with QA and plant leadership to meet standards, support audits, and track/report key sanitation metrics.
• Serve as the on-site liaison to Flowers Bakery, ensuring strong communication and delivery of Aramark service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in sanitation or operations leadership within a food manufacturing or bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FSMA, HACCP, SQF, BRC, GMPs).
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Experience with sanitation chemicals, CIP systems, and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
