Ready Mix Plant Operators are responsible for successfully batching various mixes, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the plant.

Job Description Summary
Ready Mix Plant Operators are responsible for successfully batching various mixes, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the plant.
- Operates plant in safe and professional manner – able to multi task & trouble shoot.
- Able to navigate Command Alkon automation.
- Basic understanding of the mix components and quality control – aggregate, sand, cement, fly ash, & admixture
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
- Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays
- Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Dispatcher, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and other employees
- Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations
- Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls
- Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
- Pre-Employment screens are required before being hired at Callanan Industries Inc
- Ready-mixed experience preferred but will train the right people
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- This position offers a Union rate of $28.39-$31.39 per hour.
