Job Summary
A Lead will oversee a section of the production crew as the team leader.
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
- Design and implement 5 S projects.
- Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit and coach others.
- Examining and inspecting work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met.
- Completes all production and reporting daily.
- Ensures quality has been completed to the highest standard and safety procedures are followed.
- Substituting for workers during worker absence or to relieve work-congested areas.
- Assisting workers in resolving problems and evaluating performance.
Job Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a plant laborer or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have forklift and crane operator certification, or be able to attain certification.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and organizations skills.
- Using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 40 Ibs. on a regular basis.
Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is $27.50/hr
