JobSummary
A Lead will oversee a section of the production crew as the team leader.
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
- Design and implement 5 S projects
- Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit and coach others
- Examining and inspecting work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met
- Completes all production and reporting daily
- Ensures quality has been completed to the highest standard and saftey procedures are followed
- Substituting for workers during worker absence or to relieve work-congested areas.
- Assisting workers in resolving problems and evaluating performance
Job Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience as a plant laborer or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have forklift and crane operator certification, or be able to attain certification
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and organizations skills
- Using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 40 Ibs. on a regular basis
Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is $27.50/hr
