POSTED ON 3/20/2026

Job Description

The HR Communications & Engagement Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Director of HR Communications & Engagement, helping shape and advance the overarching HR communications, employee experience, and engagement strategy while also playing a highly hands‑on role in execution.

This role leads the development and delivery of integrated HR communication and engagement approaches that support key moments across the employee lifecycle and advance the company’s people strategy. With a strong employee experience lens, the Manager helps ensure HR initiatives are communicated in ways that are clear, focused, and easy for employees to understand and act on.

Working closely with Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs), the Manager brings a strong point of view on how HR programs, changes, and priorities should show up for employees — simplifying complexity, reinforcing what matters most, and balancing big‑picture thinking with creative, practical execution. This role is well‑suited for someone who is curious, highly creative, and eager to learn, with the ability to think holistically, ideate boldly, write, create, and deliver high‑quality communications, including work tied to employee engagement and listening initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to the Director of HR Communications & Engagement, contributing to vision, priorities, and long‑term direction for HR communications, employee experience, and engagement.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated HR communication and engagement strategies that improve employee understanding, trust, and participation across the employee lifecycle.
  • Serve as a communications strategy partner to HR Centers of Excellence, guiding messaging approach, prioritization, and sequencing of enterprise HR initiatives.
  • Partner closely on the evolution of the enterprise employee engagement and listening strategy, helping shape approach while leading hands‑on execution of engagement survey initiatives.
  • Support end‑to‑end execution of employee engagement surveys, including launch planning, communications, toolkits, reminders, and coordination with HR partners, while ensuring a seamless and high‑quality employee experience.
  • Monitor engagement survey progress and participation in partnership with HR stakeholders, adjusting communication tactics as needed to improve reach and effectiveness.
  • Proactively analyze employee feedback and engagement data to identify patterns, trends, and connections — translating findings into clear, compelling narratives that articulate what was heard, what it means, and what actions will follow.
  • Bring a strong creative point of view, asking thoughtful questions, experimenting with new ideas and approaches, and simplifying complex HR topics to elevate the employee experience.
  • Personally create, write, and develop content across HR intranet pages, campaigns, presentations, leader toolkits, digital platforms, and executive materials.
  • Apply a “keep it simple” mindset to HR communications, helping employees quickly understand what’s changing, why it matters, and what they need to do — without over‑communicating or adding unnecessary complexity.
  • Establish communication standards, best practices, and messaging frameworks to ensure consistency and cohesive storytelling across HR initiatives.
  • Apply employee experience principles such as clarity, accessibility, and inclusivity to ensure communications resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Balance multiple priorities and initiatives, making informed tradeoffs to maximize enterprise impact.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, HR Technology, and other internal partners to support integrated and effective communication efforts.
  • Support additional enterprise communication and engagement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in communications, employee engagement/experience, HR communications, or change communications.
  • Strong creative instincts with exceptional writing, storytelling, and narrative development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency, accelerate ideation, and elevate the quality of communications and analysis work, combined with the editorial discernment to know when and how to apply them.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and creativity, with a desire to learn, experiment, and continuously improve how communication and engagement efforts are designed and delivered.
  • Proven ability to ideate and develop visually engaging, employee‑centric communications.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and building trusted, consultative relationships.
  • Analytical curiosity with a demonstrated ability to move beyond surface-level findings by connecting data points, identifying trends over time, and translating patterns into strategic recommendations that drive action.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in complex, evolving environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, digital communication platforms, and content management tools; employee listening or survey platform experience a plus.
