What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse - RN position at CRF Behavioral Healthcare?
Hours: 40 hours per week. Work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and Wednesday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm.
Pay Rate: $48.08 to $48.56 per hour
Duration: Two to three months, depending on program needs
Licensure: California Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be kept current during employment
Certification: BLS certification required and must be maintained throughout employment
As a Nurse - RN, you will:
- Assist multidisciplinary team with crisis intervention, psychiatric medical assessments, case management, and medication support services.
- Monitor clients’ response to medications and reports any concerns to medical staff.
- Ensure that clients and family members are educated and informed about their medications and illness management.
- Monitor health care needs of the clients and obtains assistance from other health care providers as necessary.
- Ensure all medications are managed and stored appropriately as defined by local and state regulations.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
- Able to assist mentally and physically in emergency situations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Bilingual Arabic, Aramaic/Chaldean preferred, but not required
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Our Adult Outpatient Programs (Areta Crowell Wellness Recovery Center, Douglas Young Wellness Recovery Center, Heartland Wellness Recovery Center, Jane Westin Center, Maria Sardinas Wellness Recovery Center, and South Bay Guidance Center) provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, and peer support. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.
All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.
