What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Program Director / Triage Coordinator position at CRF Behavioral Healthcare?

This is a unique role that combines the opportunity to work directly with our clients as the intake/triage coordinator as well as engage in a leadership role with the staff at the program. It's the best of both worlds! This position is ideal for the candidate who is interested in pursuing a leadership role and wants to grow in this area of their career while still working with a client caseload.
Hours: This is an exempt, salaried position. Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Salary: $95,000 to $105,000 per year
Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or equivalent required
Licensure: Licensed or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed or Waivered Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology required

As a Triage Clinician - Assistant Program Director, you will:
- Oversee all admissions to the program and coordinate with other mental health service providers and community resources.
- Provide supervision to direct service team members, as assigned by the Program Director.
- Participate in staffing management functions, including interview/hiring, training, payroll/timesheet processing, development, evaluations, and performance counseling as needed.
- Ensure that program meets or exceeds client service delivery expectations by monitoring units of service in accordance with our contracts.
- Support a collaborative and consultative culture within the program to optimize service delivery.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years experience working SMI population and co-occurring substance use disorders
- Previous supervisory experience is helpful
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders is essential
- Knowledge of County Health and Human Services requirements is essential
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- This program is housed in a two-story building that does not have an elevator. Ability to navigate stairs is required.
- A valid California driver's license in good standing, proof of insurance, and personal vehicle are required to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
- Must be able to pass criminal/background clearance

The Adult Outpatient programs (AOP) provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, peer support and older adult outreach. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.
Jane Westin Center is a full-time urgent psychiatric walk-in center that provides screening, triage, clinical and psychiatric assessment, medication support, and discharge planning.
All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.
