Brief Description

To perform this job successfully, you will assist Financial Advisors in conducting business through Pershing. Activities include but are not limited to Account opening, asset movement, trade execution and approvals of these activities.

  • Primary Role - Retail Advisor Support
    • Monitor, enter, and execute orders timely and accurately
    • Keep all account files up to date
    • Maintain documentation required for certaom tradomg activity
    • Monitor, enter and approve asset movement request as well as train on the procedures and documentation required for asset movement requests
    • Make sure all clearing activities match and settle
    • Advise, educate and train users and other employees on the account onboarding process and update procedures on previously opened accounts
  • Secondary Role - Trade Execution and Compliance
    • Advise on execution strategy for large quantity traders, low priced securities and unordinary products
    • Collect documentation for transactions requiring paperwork and approvals
  • Secondary Role - System Training/Support (NetX360)
    • Assist retail users in Navigation of NetX360
    • Provide support as intermediary between Pershing technical staff and users
  • Secondary Role - Compliance
    • Coordinate with Pershing and Crews' compliance department on required documentation for certain procedure
Requirements

This position will spend a lot of time writing, keyboarding, speaking, listening, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus), the employee may operate any or all of the following: telephone, smart phone. copy and fax machines, personal computer, printers, or other equipment as directed.

The employee must be able to read and understand documents, instruments, and reports, perform detailed work, and problem solve. The employee must also display proficiency in customer contact, analytical reasoning, math, language, presentation skills, and verbal and written communication. The employee must be able to effectively manage stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.

Competencies

  • High level of communication skills in person, on the phone and through email
  • Working knowledge of the functionality of equity, bond, closed and opened end securities markets
  • Adaptability to system updates and procedural changes
  • Ability to manage a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Education/Experience

  • College Degree and/or two years experience in financial investment industry
  • SIE, Series 7, 66, 63 or 65 Required

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday Generally 40 hours a week. Employee should be able to travel out of town.
