About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Store Visual Merchandiser in Tucson, AZ. In this creative merchandising role, you will design and implement visually engaging showroom displays, floor layouts, lighting, and accessory arrangements that elevate the customer shopping journey.
Key Responsibilities (Visual Merchandising & Showroom Staging):
- Implement visual merchandising strategies that support store sales volume and brand presentation standards.
- Execute balanced showroom displays, furniture groupings, accent lighting, rugs, and seasonal accessory collections.
- Remerchandise display zones and focal walls regularly to highlight new arrivals and maximize product sell-through.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates to unbox, inspect, tag, felt-dot, and place incoming decorative items.
- Maintain daily showroom recovery standards, ensuring lighting, fixtures, paint, and furniture are pristine.
Key Responsibilities (Store Brand Alignment):
- Train and mentor store sales staff on visual merchandising fundamentals and daily floor maintenance.
- Ensure store audio-visual elements, background music, and signage heights adhere to brand standards.
- Keep up to date on fashion styles, home decor trends, and color concepts to enhance showroom aesthetics.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager on floor moves, incoming merchandise, and point-of-sale visual materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- 2 years of retail visual merchandising experience, preferably within home furnishings.
- Ability to regularly lift objects over 50 lbs and maneuver loads up to 100 lbs (with assistance as needed).
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including weekends, holidays, and evening floor transitions.
- Creative eye for spatial balance, color coordination, and interior home styling.
