Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer HVAC and mechanical systems for design-build projects.
- Create and review proposal and permit designs, energy modeling, specifications, and commissioning plans.
- Conduct site visits and construction reviews to ensure design compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve engineering challenges.
- Ensure project outcomes meet customer expectations, budgets, and schedules.
- Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and monitor progress toward project timelines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC and mechanical systems; plumbing experience a plus.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, energy modeling software (HAP, TRACE).
- Experience designing systems such as air, hydronic, steam, refrigeration, and industrial ventilation.
- Familiarity with various industry sectors: industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, laboratory, life sciences, etc.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of project stakeholders and team members.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification a plus.
