Position Summary

Position Requirements
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Current and valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be attending apprenticeship school and have at least 300 hours/ 2 years licensing in RI
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, controls, equipment, appliances, apparatus, fixtures, and lighting systems in all types of buildings, homes, businesses, and factories under the direction of a Licensed Electrician.
- Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work site by hand or power equipment.
- Capable of digging trenches or holes either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
- Lay out various outlets, switches, receptacles, and other detail on the job from blueprints or by direction from the foreman.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by observing and following all safety standards and procedures complying with OSHA, NFPA 70E and RELCO standards.
- Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval following all OSHA, Lockout/Tag Out and RELCO Safety Procedures and Protocols.
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze blueprints, construction plans, schematic drawings.
- Ability to work from all types of ladders, scaffolds, and roofs for prolonged periods of time moving material and/or tools, load wire reels (reels can weigh up to 215lbs) ascending and descending and move about the jobsite and work area.
- Ability to operate and knowledge of hand tools and power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment to accomplish designated tasks.
- Must be able to distinguish color to positively identify and inspect color‐coded wiring and possess good vision (normal or corrected).
- Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, crawlspaces, attics, manholes, utility tunnels), confined space, trenches, high elevations using appropriate safety equipment for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to follow directions, decipher, communicate, and exchange technical information.
- Assist in wire pulls.
- Material handling and organizing.
- Maintain overall jobsite appearance including clean up site at end of day.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- Strong communication skills in English; including comprehending, listening, writing and the ability to exchange information.
- Enrolled in state approved electrical schooling.
- Ability to effectively interact, cooperate, collaborate, and manage conflicts with others to complete tasks and achieve shared goals.
- Positively identify colors or wires.
- Ability to operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas powered).
- Utilize all power tools, drills, saws, pipe threading and wire pulling equipment, hydraulic benders, etc.
- Ability to follow directions and decipher technical information.
- Basic electrical, mechanical and math skills.
- Bend conduit with hand benders and/or hydraulic benders.
- Knowledge of the electrical code and the ability to research and retrieve information from the Electric Code book Knowledge of, and ability in, pipe bending, circuit wiring, feeders, services, fire alarm, wire pulling, underground, wiring electrical equipment.
- Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills compression tools, jackhammers.
- Positive, solutions‐focused attitude with the ability to use good judgement and keep client information confidential.
- Consistent excellent customer service to internal/external customers, colleagues, and management.
