What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Technician position at Crete Core Ingredients?
JOB SUMMARY: The Forklift Technician is responsible for performing routine and proper maintenance and operation of all forklift equipment. You will play a key role in keeping our production and warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently.
SALARY: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour based on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of our forklift equipment.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure functionality.
- Ensure complete and effective repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and materials within your working area.
- Monitor and replace equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed, ensuring continuous operational capability.
- Adhere to OSHA and MSDS standards for safety and compliance.
- Knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems and / or charging systems are a plus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 2 years’ employment maintenance relatable experience (i.e. automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, equipment rental mechanic or Technical School certification.
- Documentation skills necessary.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose down to the component level on all material handling equipment.
