Job Summary: Instructor at Florida Scholars Academy Mission: Deliver effective digital learning to help students succeed through our online platform. Position: •Role: Instructor •Location: Residential facilities for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice •Focus: Help at-risk students achieve academic success through engaging and effective teaching. Key Responsibilities: •Plan and deliver engaging lessons in assigned subjects. •Adapt resources to meet diverse student needs. •Supervise students, maintain attendance records, and manage classroom behavior. •Evaluate and track student progress, provide feedback, and collaborate with colleagues. •Participate in blended learning models and provide in-person support as needed. Requirements: •Education: Bachelor’s Degree •Certification: Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate (or proof of enrollment in a relevant program), with preferred certifications in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), Gifted, ESOL, and Reading. •Experience: Teaching experience or relevant internship. Skills: •Strong communication and interpersonal skills. •Classroom management and effective use of technology. •Ability to work well in a team and handle high-demand environments.
