What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor position at Crestmark Wealth Group?
About Us
Crestmark Wealth Group is a fiduciary wealth advisory firm based in Littleton, Colorado, serving clients across the country. We work under the broker-dealer Hornor, Townsend & Kent (HTK).
We serve people at every stage of building wealth. That includes young professionals and growing families, business owners, military members and veterans, and high-net-worth households planning their legacy.
Our approach is education-first. We believe people make their best financial decisions when they understand their options and stay in control of their money. We help clients find money they are losing unknowingly and unnecessarily, then build a plan to protect and grow it.
We are a modern, tech-enabled firm with an old-fashioned, relationship-first approach. Every client works with a named advisor who is directly accessible. Our core work spans retirement income, tax-efficient strategies, investment management, and estate and legacy planning.
Crestmark was founded by Ben Batiste, a Marine Corps and Army veteran with a background in federal and local law enforcement. The firm is built on honesty, comprehensive planning, and advice that puts the client first. We are also an active community partner, including ongoing support for Special Olympics Colorado.
The Role
This is a full-time Financial Advisor role for someone who wants to own their book of business with a full support team behind them.
You will deliver comprehensive financial advice to individuals and families. That means conducting detailed financial needs analyses, building customized plans, and presenting recommendations aligned with each client's goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Day to day, you will meet with clients, review portfolios, advise on retirement strategies, and coordinate tax-efficient and estate-focused work with a client's other advisors when it makes sense.
The role also involves monitoring market and regulatory developments, reaching out proactively when something affects a client's plan, and documenting all advice and interactions to compliance standards.
You will support growth by cultivating referrals, participating in educational webinars and content, and contributing to a high-integrity, client-first culture.
This Role Is a Fit If You
- Want to own your book of business and build client relationships that are truly yours.
- Want full support behind you, from operations and technology to planning and case design, so your time goes to clients instead of paperwork.
- Lead with protection and education first. You believe planning should help people understand and control their money before anything else.
- Hold yourself to high ethical standards and want to work somewhere that does the same.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial planning and advisory work, including holistic needs assessment and goal-based planning.
- Strong foundation in finance and investments, with the ability to construct, explain, and monitor diversified portfolios.
- Experience with retirement planning, including income distribution and tax-aware withdrawal strategies.
- Relevant securities and advisory licenses (e.g., Series 7, 66, or equivalents) and applicable state registrations, or the ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust-based client relationships, explain complex concepts in clear language, and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Comfort with remote work, including proficient use of virtual meeting platforms, CRM systems, and financial planning software.
- High ethical standards, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset aligned with a client-first model.
