What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher position at Crestline Child Care?
Our Teachers are responsible for developing age-appropriate lessons and activities in accordance to our curriculum while ensuring that students are appropriately involved in projects and educational games throughout the day.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age with HS diploma or GED, or enrolled in the second year of or have completed a two year career-technical program in child development or early childhood education, or be a high school senior and also enrolled in a college credit program in child development or early childhood education
- FBI/BCI background check
- ODJFS medical form
- Must be flexible to cover shifts whenever necessary
Responsibilities:
- Meet all state requirements and follow the center's policies
- Create lesson plans and daily schedule
- Complete the required hours of professional development annually
- CPR, First Aid, Communicable Diseases, Child Abuse Prevention
- Interact with students and parents
- Teach students how to communicate effectively
- Maintain learning centers and an organized classroom
- Conduct daily assessments
- Work as a team player with other employees
Experience preferred but not required. Trainings may be on site, electronic, and/or in-person. Courses are paid for by the center.
