Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Sioux Falls, SD. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and management reports, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The role will support audits, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls, and help maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions. The Accountant will collaborate with investment and operations teams to provide timely financial insights, support special projects, and contribute to process improvements within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in general accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end / year-end close.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, and modeling).
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support decision-making.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP), internal controls, and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.
- Prior experience in asset management, investment firms, or a similar financial services environment is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Sioux Falls, SD, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
