Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is temporary with the possibility of permanent. The ideal candidate will possess a understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile various General Ledger accounts daily and monthly
- Create journal entries as needed daily and at month-end
- Perform data entry and general maintenance related to the fixed assets
- Perform data entry for the accounts payable function
- Other general accounting tasks can be assigned
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good mathematical skills and reasoning ability
- Two to five (2-5) years’ experience or related training preferred. Associates degree preferred; high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
