CM - Maintenance Technician

General Description of Position

The Maintenance Technician is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Crest's facilities and equipment. This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a Clean and organized work environment.


• Performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergent maintenance, and assists with the collection of predictive maintenance data for analysis.


• Set up and operate machining tools such as drill press, grinders, alter or construct replacement parts, recondition production tooling, fixtures and jigs.


• Maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment.


• Utilize MaintainX software to review assigned maintenance tasks, perform required work, and update work order status upon completion.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC systems.


• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints / drawings and electrical line diagrams.


• Have basic knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with co-workers and supervisors.


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.


• Basic computer and documentation skills.


• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing/shop environment.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and work in various positions throughout a 10-hour shift.


• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to safely use hand and power tools in a production setting.
