Role Description The Licensing Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role supports day-to-day licensing operations, including managing license agreements, tracking key dates, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and brand guidelines. The Licensing Coordinator will assist with product submissions and approvals, coordinate communication between internal teams and licensors, and maintain organized records of contracts, style guides, and approvals. Responsibilities include compiling sales and royalty reports, preparing presentations or summaries for internal stakeholders, and supporting the development of new licensing opportunities. The role also involves helping to resolve routine licensing-related inquiries, monitoring market activity for brand consistency, and assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation to effectively support licensors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Solid communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for contracts, reports, and presentations.
- Analytical skills to review contracts, track key metrics, interpret royalty reports, and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Foundational knowledge of licensing, brand management, or related fields, with the ability to learn licensing processes and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and comfort working with databases or reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in licensing, consumer products, fashion, or retail is preferred but not required; internship or coordinating experience is a plus.
