Job Description
Cresset is seeking a highly motivated Associate, Private Markets to join our dynamic private investments team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of private investment strategies, with a primary focus private equity funds, sponsored direct investments, and single-asset continuation fund transactions. As part of a rapidly scaling platform, you will play an integral role in sourcing, executing, and monitoring investments, while gaining direct exposure to senior professionals, investment committees, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Origination & Deal Flow: Assist in the private equity investment process by supporting initial deal screening, pipeline management, and NDA execution.
- Diligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth industry research, evaluate business models, and build comprehensive financial and transaction models.
- Underwriting & Execution: Prepare high-quality investment committee materials, supporting the evaluation and recommendation of new opportunities.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Manage a portfolio of private funds and special purpose vehicles (SPVs), including quarterly valuation analysis, performance reporting, and coordination of annual audits with third-party providers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transactions and portfolio management activities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years of transaction-oriented experience, with preference for candidates who have completed an Analyst program at a leading investment bank.
- Education: Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic achievement.
- Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling expertise in Excel, with the ability to build and interpret detailed transaction models.
- Mindset: Exceptionally curious, resourceful, and self-motivated, with a strong personal interest in private equity and investing.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
- Professionalism: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
