The mission of the YMCA of the Foothills is to organize, develop, finance, and conduct programs for an association of persons of all ages that will, by putting Christian principles into practice, enrich the quality of their lives spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead and guide a group of youth in meaningful, safe activities that allow and provide for the best possible experience. This position is focused on nurturing the potential of youth using a variety of tools including the Y voice and core values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Fun, energetic parent who has a background in early Child Development and or Youth Sports
- Builds effective relationship with participants, their parents and staff.
- Promotes positive environment.
- In these classes, we will explore the beginning stages of sports movement through the lens of Basketball, Soccer, Ball Throwing, Stretching, and obstacle courses.
- This job has a maximum working hours of 4 hours per week
- Tuesday/Thursday 9:00- 10:00 AM
- Friday 3:00-4:00 PM
- Saturday 9:00- 10:00 AM

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one (1) year experience working or participating in a youth group/program setting. YMCA program participation preferred.
- Proven ability to coordinate, implement and/or lead enrichment/recreational activities.
- Self-starter who is committed and possesses good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of youth development practices and conflict mediation.
- Energetic, youth-friendly and creative person with a high level of enthusiasm about providing meaningful opportunities and
