Job Description
- Coordinate with departments for purchasing raw materials, equipment's and supplies.
- Gather market information regarding price and availability of material / item.
- Search for vendors/suppliers for purchasing requisite items as per purchase requisition, obtain quotations and negotiate the price.
- Prepare the estimated cost sheet for imports, make entry into the ERP and generate purchase order for approval.
- Ensure that the item supplied by vendor is as per specification and requirements of user department and in line with purchase order.
- Arrange transportation, clearance for delivery of items from vendor premises to factory.
- Coordinate with service providers for scheduling, expediting and tracking of shipments.
- Follow up with Finance department for timely payment to vendors.
- Make arrangements for returning rejected items / goods / materials to suppliers.
- Prepare monthly management reports.
