Teacher Aide

Seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Teacher Aide to join our Toddler & Preschool team for the upcoming school year.

CLA is a Path to Quality Level 3 program and an accredited early childhood center committed to providing high-quality education in a nurturing Islamic environment. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about early childhood education and understand the importance of developmentally appropriate practices, professionalism, and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Classroom Support

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities.
• Support students during circle time, centers, play, transitions, meals, and rest time.
• Help prepare classroom materials and learning activities.
• Reinforce positive behavior and classroom expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, hygiene, and student care as needed.

Student Supervision

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities.
• Support children’s emotional and social development through positive interactions.
• Encourage independence, communication, and self-help skills.

Professional Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with teachers, administration, and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Follow all school policies, licensing requirements, and health/safety procedures.
• Support the mission and Islamic values of the school.

Qualifications

• Minimum of CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) required.
• Associate degree or some college coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must successfully complete required background checks.
