JOB OVERVIEW: A Food Runner/Busser is responsible for delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to customers efficiently, accurately and courteously, supporting the waitstaff and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
REPORTS TO: Restaurant Supervisor/Manager, Director Food & Beverage
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Transport food and drinks from the kitchen to tables promptly, ensuring correct items reach the right customers and maintaining proper presentation and temperature.
- Support servers by bringing extra utensils, napkins, or condiments, and clearing tables to maintain workflow.
- Set tables with appropriate tableware, silverware and decorations, and help with cleanup after service.
- Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth flow of service and promote teamwork.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and kitchen stations, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
