ON Call Bartender
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware.
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol serving laws and company policies.
- Provide prompt, courteous service to guests, engaging with them to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately; follow opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and act responsibly to prevent over-service
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking when necessary.
- Work closely with the event team and other staff to ensure smooth service during events.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Proven bartending experience in a bar, restaurant, or event setting.
- Current alcohol service certification (as required by local laws).
- Excellent Communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (or legal serving age in NYC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of classic and modern cocktail recipes.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
- Previous experience in event environments.
Working Conditions:
- This is an on-call position with no guaranteed hours.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs.
- Shifts may include late nights, holidays, and weekends.
