- Review daily accounting activity including night audit, revenue postings, and receivables
- Monitor hotel revenues and expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
- Oversee billing, collections, and city ledger accounts
- Review of invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper approvals
- Ensure timely processing and payment of vendor invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Support cash flow management, deposits, and general cashier functions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls related to purchasing, payroll, and disbursements
- Verify adherence to purchasing procedures, including PO matching
- Safeguard hotel assets and maintain accurate financial records
- Supervise and support accounting team members
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback
- Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain organized documentation and audit trails
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and hotel accounting processes (night audit, PMS systems such as Lightspeed)
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and internal controls
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
