What are the responsibilities and job description for the P&A Assistant / Helper / Rigger position at Crescent Energy Services, LLC?
Crescent Energy Services, an offshore Plug and Abandonment oilfield contractor, is currently hiring P&A Assistants, Riggers, and/or Helpers to fill crews for upcoming long term projects. CES provides Rigless P&A services for oil & gas operators both offshore and in inland waters.
Essential Job Duties:
- Supports, complies with, and participates in HSE Program.
- Assists the P&A Supervisor and/or co-workers in setting up a service unit, unloading equipment, assembling, preparing tools and rigging up at a well site location.
- Assists the P&A Supervisor in assembling, preparing, checking and loading equipment required for a scheduled job.
- Assist in setting up lubricator and pressure control operations.
- Communicates with rig crew to discuss job task at hand.
- Organize equipment and facilities in neat workable condition.
- Maintain professional communication skills.
- Knowledge of the company's Safety Policies, QMS, comply with government requirements, Standard operating procedures, and workplace instructions.
- Identify hazards and address the issue with direct supervisor.
- Performs basic routine equipment maintenance in preparation for the next job.
- Cleans and checks service unit tools and equipment.
- Maintains the confidentiality of the client’s data and CES’s information.
- Insures the customer is respected and served to the best of our ability.
- Makes any necessary repairs to equipment, re-stocking parts and materials at the completion of each job.
- Insures all equipment is operated and maintained in the proper manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Licenses:
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education with at least two years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HUET, Water Survival, Basic Firefighting and FAST Training
- Knowledge of and ability to read and comprehend equipment certification and test charts
- Behavior Based Safety System and Risk Assessments
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form when applicable.
- Becomes familiar with the field job requirements, oil field terminology, and workover operations.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, or balance and will also frequently stoop, kneel, bend crouch or crawl and walk on uneven surfaces.
- The employee must be able to swing on a swing rope to board offshore and structures/vessels.
- The employee must regularly lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be capable of hearing audio warning signals.
- The employee must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection and safety glasses.
- Position requires working long strenuous hours.
- Position requires riding in a helicopter and/or crew boat.
- Position requires riding in a personnel sling/basket between vessels, structures, etc.
- Work on-call 24 hours per day, except on regular scheduled days off.
- Must be able capable of working rotating day and night shifts with a minimum of 12-hour duration.
- Must be able to pass the required physical examination, WorkStep work capacity evaluation and drug and alcohol test.
