Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Coordinator with at least two years of Dental front desk experience required in order to join our dental office team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment as well as being a team player
Responsibilities
- Welcoming every Patient: greet the patients as they arrive, making the first impression that sets the tone for the rest of their visit. They set an inviting and professional atmosphere for everyone who walks into the dental practice. Assist them with check-in and check-out processes as well as making patient's next appointment.
- Excellent verbal communication, multitasking which can include helping out the back team, and problem-solving abilities a must.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Perform insurance verification, claims, predeterminations and ensure accurate documentation for all new and existing patients.
- Review, enter and maintain patient documentation using Dentrix software a must. Must be able to explain treatment completed or needed to patients.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, ability to fill the schedule a must and managing the calendar for dental staff, making sure schedules are full.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries as needed as well as being able to figure out a patient's co-payment at time of visit. Entering insurance checks into a patient's ledger a plus.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient service and care.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Previous experience at a dental front desk
- Familiarity with dental terminology, including ADA codes so you can educate patients of their treatment needed
- Proficient in documentation review, entering information in Dentrix software
- Must live within a 25-mile radius of Cary
- Must be reliable with attendance because we are a small office and depend on you being there.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in dental administration are a plus.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
