Job Summary
Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent – Water/Wastewater to lead field operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The Superintendent is responsible for overall jobsite execution, including safety, quality, schedule, and productivity. This role provides direct leadership to foremen, crews, and subcontractors while coordinating closely with project management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Essential Functions
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all field operations on water and wastewater construction projects
- Lead and manage foremen, craft labor, subcontractors, and equipment resources
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term work plans aligned with the project schedule
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, permits, and quality standards
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements
- Lead jobsite safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and daily planning meetings
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site logistics
- Monitor productivity, resolve field issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Communicate effectively with project management, inspectors, owners, and design teams
- Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, schedules, and progress tracking
- Support inspections, testing, punch list completion, and project closeout activities
- Lead by example to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supervising water and wastewater or heavy civil construction projects
- Proven experience managing large crews, subcontractors, and complex work activities
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, and productivity management
- Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel, project teams, and external stakeholders
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and navigating active construction sites
- Ability to take direction from project leadership and remain task-oriented
- Commitment to following all company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines
