Job description
Service area for this position is servicing several nursing homes in the Gulfport area. Draws will be done overnight/early mornings on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Employee must be available to transport specimen. Please only apply if you can fit all criteria.

Essential Duties of the Phlebotomist:
- Accessions all cases received for testing by timely and accurately entering data into LIS, labeling samples and creating folders, generating specimen travel documents, and forwarding respective samples to personnel/departments.
- Works with laboratory and nursing home staff to optimize processes.
- Keeps work areas clean and orderly; maintains and disinfects lab equipment as needed.
Required Experience:
- Two (2) year experience in drawing blood specimen’s minimum with experience working with an elderly population
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Proficient with computers, including Microsoft 365 Suite and Adobe
- Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual
Candidates must be willing to travel between multiple locations when needed (miles eligible for reimbursement).
