This is a full-time, on-site MLT/MLS role located in Kosciusko, MS. The MLT/MLS will perform laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic results. Tasks include specimen collection, sample preparation, equipment calibration and maintenance, quality control monitoring, and ensuring compliance with CLIA guidelines. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to interpret and document test results, as well as maintaining organized records of all lab activities to uphold operational efficiency and patient safety.
- Proficiency in laboratory testing methodologies, including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Urinalysis
- Strong skills in equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience with quality control protocols and compliance with CLIA guidelines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with healthcare professionals and team members
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Certification as MLT or MLS (ASCP or equivalent) is required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory
