Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Monitor and supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being during play, learning, nap times, and meals.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering or potty training, snack time, circle time, and outdoor play.
- Use positive behavior management techniques to guide children's social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents or health concerns.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles relevant to toddlers.
- Experience with classroom management strategies that foster a nurturing learning environment.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with early childhood education best practices and curriculum planning for toddler-aged children.
- Hands-on experience with infant care routines and toddler-specific activities enhances your ability to connect with young learners effectively.
