Summary

Seeking a local candidate with a 4-year degree or equivalent technical experience to provide middleware technical expertise within the ITO. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience migrating/upgrading WebSphere environments and designing, assessing, and optimizing middleware infrastructures while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

• UNIX/Linux: AIX or RHEL (preferred)
• Pega BPM 7.x
• Automation Scripting:

• WAS scripting (Jython/JACL, wsadmin)
• Unix/Linux shell scripting
• AWS CloudFormation
• WebSphere MQSeries 8.0
• IBM DataPower Gateway Administration (preferred)
• IBM MDM / IBM Information Server (IIS) (preferred)
• WebFocus Reporting Server (preferred)
• Broadcom/CA APM (Wily/Introscope)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Network Security: SSL/TLS, certificates, firewalls, ADCs, VIPs, Microsoft AD/ADLDS, IBM ISAM/WebSeal

Core Responsibilities

Middleware Administration

• Install, configure, and administer WebSphere Application Server (8.5 ) and IBM HTTP Server .
• Configure and administer Pega BPM (7.x ) .
• Install, configure, and administer IBM DataPower Gateway , IBM MDM , and IIS (if applicable).
• Support installation and administration of WebFocus Reporting Server (preferred).

System & Server Administration

• Administer AIX and RHEL servers.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Jython/JACL, wsadmin, shell, Ansible).
• Create, execute, and analyze AWS CloudFormation scripts.

Migration & Upgrades

• Lead migrations of WebSphere environments from one major version to another , ensuring minimal downtime.
• Plan and execute middleware modernization and upgrade strategies.

Messaging & Integration

• Configure and administer WebSphere MQSeries (8.0 ) .
• Implement SSL/TLS , including certificate management and secure communication between systems.
• Integrate systems with Microsoft Active Directory / ADLDS and IBM ISAM/WebSeal .

Performance, Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Configure and utilize Broadcom/CA APM (Wily/Introscope) for performance monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot performance, stability, and connectivity issues across middleware, servers, and applications.

DevOps & Cloud (Preferred)

• Experience working in DevOps environments.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred).
