Crescend Technologies is seeking an Inside Sales and Customer Support Specialist to support sales growth and ensure efficient operation of our sales functions. This role is responsible for a variety of administrative and customer-facing tasks that support the overall sales team, maintain strong customer relationships, and facilitate smooth order processing. The Inside Sales and Customer Support Specialist is the first point of contact for customer inquiries and requires an individual who excels in cross-functional communication to promptly provide a response to the customer.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage daily customer interactions, including inquiries, follow-ups, and issue resolutions
- Prepare and manage customer quotes, follow up on open quotes, and support the sales pipeline
- Review and approve incoming purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, pricing, and product availability
- Request and manage New Model Approval documentation as required
- Track and follow up on pending orders to ensure timely fulfillment
- Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and manage unauthorized returns
- Handle incoming sales calls and provide basic technical support as needed, based on basic knowledge of the Crescend portfolio
- Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering operations, supply chain, and accounting to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution
- Support account management activities to grow and sustain existing customer relationships
- Coordinate distribution of sales materials such as price books/catalogs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent with 2 years’ industry related experience
- Embraces & demonstrates behavior in alignment with Crescend’s core values (Innovative, Commitment, Initiative & Intentional).
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration across internal functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute with minimal supervision
- Proficient with CRM and ERP Software and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Occasional travel may be required, up to 5%, based on business needs
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience working with Epicor and Pipedrive
- Expert knowledge of industry trends, competition, customer buying patterns, and marketing techniques
