What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Representative position at Cresa?
Job Summary
Provide all aspects of commercial real estate to include relocations, expansions, property dispositions, and portfolio management.
Essential Functions:
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend real estate alternatives considering the capacity needs as well as operational requirements, while considering engineering, cost factors and schedule
- Negotiate business deals for leases and legal contracts
- Determine the scope of building improvements, solicit, and evaluate bids, award contracts, and ensure completion
- Negotiate timely and cost-effective extensions of existing leases and provide flexibility for future extensions
- Prepare and submit documentation outlining the business deal and provide justification for the real estate action
- Maintain landlord relationships and interpret/enforce lease provisions and resolve disputes
- Participate on public project approvals including zoning, use and site plan with guidance from management
- Coordinate with government agencies to secure project incentives and infrastructure investments
- Coordinate the lease or sale of excess properties
- Provide input on rent and capital for the fiscal year as well as forecast spending of new rent monthly
- Conduct market study tour by visiting potential facilities and/or land
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Real Estate, or another business-related field
- Real Estate License (or commitment to obtaining as a condition of employment)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Flexibility to travel as business opportunities dictate
