Production Manager, Nursery Supplies, Inc., Kissimmee, FL. Oversee Production Processes: manage day-to-day production operations to ensure and optimize efficiency and minimize waste for cost savings and increased profitability; develop detailed production schedules and plans to allocate resources; enhance employee training on equipment operation and maintenance best practices (CIL & PM) and team member cross-training. Coordinate Resources: Allocate team members across production departments, materials, and equipment; responsible for labor vs production cost savings and increased OEE; KPIs to track production efficiency; evaluate team members skills to align with production. Ensure quality control: implement and monitor quality standards to meet production specifications; provide team member training to enhance skills and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; train employees on quality standards and cross inspection by leadership team.
Collaborate with Leadership team: work with other departments to ensure a cohesive workflow; utilize resources and ensure timely production; identify or address production issues proactively; take corrective actions. Implementing process improvements: engage team members to identify challenges and gain valuable insights; lower operational costs by eliminating waste and improving resource utilization; gather quantitative and qualitative data on production metrics (e.g., cycle times, defects, downtime); create culture where team members feel valued and safe to share their thoughts. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Ind Engr or Mfg Engr, and 3 yrs exp in Mfg or Prod Mgmt w/ 2 yrs exp in a leadership or managerial role; 3 yrs exp w/ production planning, scheduling, quality control, and workforce management; 3 yrs exp managing production delays, equipment malfunctions, and quality control issues; and 3 yrs exp in ERP systems, production scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5 yrs exp in the foregoing areas (incl.
