What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Crenshaw Christian Center?
Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools is seeking a new team member. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for instructing children in activities designed to promote social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual growth in preparation for elementary school. The position plans individual and group activities to stimulate age-appropriate learning and is responsible for the supervision and management of a class between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise activities of children to ensure their safety
- Write and implement daily lesson plans
- Lead all classroom duties including circle time, food preparation, etc.
- Conduct Parent/Teacher Conferences as needed during the school year
- Complete child observation/evaluation as directed by the administration
- Determine physical needs of children and implement activities that promote proper large and small music development, coordination and sensory
- Provide materials and activities that promote development of large and fine motor skills at age-appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- A minimum of 12 units is required PLUS a minimum of 1 year experience working with young children (infant to 8 years) in a private, public, state or federal child development program or elementary level
- Ability to clearly explain, demonstrate and supervise the practice of subject matter to children
- Possess physical dexterity and the ability to use equipment and educational materials
