After School Care Staff Fall 2026

Crenshaw Athletic Club is seeking a dependable and energetic After School Counselor to join our amazing team! Crenshaws is a family-owned, licensed after school care and preschool, since 1951. Our campus is located in the convenient North Central Austin.

Afterschool Counselor

Our Afterschool Counselors usually arrive by 2:30 and stay until 5:45, Monday - Friday. We are looking for energetic people who love working with children and being apart of a long lasting Austin tradition that Crenshaw has been since 1951. Being a licensed preschool we also have daytime hours available as well as other positions in gymnastics coaches and swimming coaches so more hours are always available. Great opportunity for college students to work while taking classes!

Qualifications:
Must love working with school ages kids (specifically ages 5-11)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have proof of education: high school diploma, GED, college transcript, and/or CDA
Professionalism, good communication, and consistency is a must.
Must be able to clear a criminal background check and fingerprint check before hire
Experience in a group care environment is preferred
CPR/1st Aid (will pay for certifications if needed)
