Production Supervisor
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Crenlo has an exciting opportunity in our Manufacturing Group. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to play a key role within the Manufacturing Team focusing heavily on driving improvements and supporting an environment of excellence. Production Supervisors will process Supervise, organize and control the functional operations of the assigned Production Department as directed by the Operations Manager. The Production Supervisor is directly responsible for employee safety, productivity, on-time delivery and quality of products produced.
In this position, you will:
- Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Responsible for interpreting schedules, coordinating appropriate manpower to meet area goals, and to ensure uninterrupted flow of products and/or services.
- Provide leadership and clear direction to the production staff to ensure quality, efficiency and other area goals are met consistently.
- Assist in the development, communication and deployment of departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the execution of the Operations Annual Operating Plan (AOP) goals and objectives.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement activities within the assigned area and develop correction action plans when necessary.
- Promote and facilitate departmental lean manufacturing programs and technics.
- Responsible for leading the safety improvement initiatives to improve working conditions as well as departmental safety performance.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards and organization of assigned work areas.
- Facilitate training, coaching and employee performance reviews, including cross training within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Communicate and enforce company policies/procedures to maintain effective employee relations.
Basic Qualifications: (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED completion.
- Three years of Supervision experience.
- Proven ability to multi-task with excellent time management
- Problem prevention and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, leadership and labor union representatives.
Preferred Qualifications: (Desired)
- Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
- Metal fabrication and weld experience.
